INTERNACIONAL: Fuerte terremoto se registra en Papua Nueva Guinea
Durante este sabado 10 de septiembre del 2022 se registró un fuerte terremoto en Papua Nueva Guinea, un país de Oceania.
El terremoto ocurrió a las 19:47 hora Chilena (23:46 UTC), de acuerdo al USGS, a unos 67 kilometros al este de Kainantu, Papua Nueva Guinea, con una magnitud cifrada en 7.6 en la escala de magnitud de momento.
Hasta el momento en el que se publica esta nota, se desconoce la cantidad de danmificados, servicios y estructuras dañadas entre otros, pero si se confirma que existen múltimes daños en diferentes zonas de la región.
Fue emitida una alerta de Tsunami para la zona en un radio de 1000 kilometros del epicentro del terremoto, el cual minutos mas tarde fue levantada, advertiendo de que pueden ocurrir irregularidades menores en el nivel del mar cerca de la zona del terremoto.
El SHOA descartó posibilidad de Tsunami para las costas de Chile por este evento.
